Peter M. LONGSTRAND

After receiving an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Bristol, Peter Longstrand specialised in content management systems and object-oriented programming. Since then, and to the present day, he has been participating in a personal capacity in open-source software development.

His first position as an Internet developer at a small import-export business made him aware of the tremendous economic opportunities represented by what was then referred to as the New Technologies. He soon decided to create a structure in which he could unite skills complementing his own, to enable many small-to-medium businesses and industries to participate in the “new economy”.

With the creation of Atom e-City Ltd., he gave free rein to his vision of an organisation both centralised and diversified, within which each skill added to the others to enrich the overall structure and to offer a range of services as diversified and complementary as the needs and businesses of customers.

At present, he continues to play a mostly advisory role at the Atom e-City head office, notably participating in the expansion and organisation of our network of computing skills.
