Localisation

Localisation is a process used for adapting a product to a specific region. As well as translation into the relevant language, localisation involves adapting the document to reflect the specific requirements, culture and standards of the target market. For example, a document that contains humorous references or reference to a country’s literature requires genuine adaptation on the part of the translator.

Therefore, when your document needs localising we increase the original rate for the translation by up to 50%.

Software localisation

We apply a rate increase ranging from 25% to 50% of the original rate of the translation for projects which consist of less than 15,000 words and an hourly rate thereafter.

This rate increase covers the following services]:
· Extraction/reintegration of dynamic libraries (DLL)
· Dialogue box resizing
· Localisation of Flash, ASP, Perl, Javascript, PHP components
· Asian double-byte character support
· Application monitoring following translation

Web site localisation

For Web sites, an additional hourly rate may be applied for the following services:

· Extraction of text (which may be stored in various HTML, XML or PHP files, for example)
· Encryption management
· HTML reformatting
· Online site testing
· Localisation of any graphical components or Flash animations
